of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenue namely Sakthivel, S/o.Mani aged about 35 years before this Court and set him liberty in the interest of justice.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) When the petitioner's brother, namely, Sakthivel, S/o.Mani aged about 35 years, had gone missing, he had given a complaint on 30.03.2023 before the second respondent police. Since the petitioner's brother could not be traced within a reasonable time, he has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's complaint has been registered in Crime No.264/2023 on 06.11.2023 as man missing. Subsequently, the FIR

has been transferred to Tiruchengode Rural Police Station, Namakkal.

3. Since the complaint has been transferred to Tiruchengode Rural Police Station, Namakkal and they are in the process of investigation, we deem it fit that they could be directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report.

4. In view of this decision, the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the Tiruchengode Rural Police Station, Namakkal to expedite the investigation in Crime No.264/2023 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.
