When the petitioner's husband, namely, Alexander, S/o.Vishvanathan, aged about 42 years, found missing from 12.04.2024, she lodged a complaint on 20.04.2024 before the respondent police. Since the petitioner's husband could not be traced within a reasonable time, she has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public

Prosecutor submitted that the complaint preferred by the petitioner's husband has been registered in Crime No.118 of 2024 as man missing and that the second respondent police is conducting the investigation to locate the petitioner's husband.

3. Since the second respondent had registered the petitioner's complaint and are in the process of investigating, we deem it fit that the second respondent could be directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report.

4. In view of this decision, the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the second respondent herein to expedite the investigation in Crime No.118 of 2024 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.
