Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to issue the direction to the respondent police to register a case on the complaint given by the petitioner on 12.07.2015.

ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 12.07.2015.

2. In the petition, it is averred that on 10.7.2015 at about 9.30 p.m., when the petitioner was fixing fence on her land, due to land dispute, one Sivalingam and his wife entered into her land and scolded her in filthy language and threatened her with dire consequence. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the second respondent police on 12.7.2015. But, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that it appears that there is a property dispute between the parties. However, the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 12.7.2015 has been assigned CSR Number as C.S.R.No.272 of 2015.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 12.7.2015 has been assigned CSR Number as C.S.R.No.272 of 2015, this Court directs the second respondent to conduct enquiry in C.S.R.No.272 of 2015 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
