The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 4(1)(a), 4(1-A) of TNP Act r/w Sections 6 and 11 of Tamil Nadu Rectified Sprit Rules 2000, in Crime No.111 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused was found in illegal possession of 60 packets of illicit arrack. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case, since he has got some previous cases. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner along with other accused was found to be in illegal possession of 60 packets of illicit arrack. vkr against the petitioner and hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
