By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Grade-II Constable on 15.05.1979 and got promotion as Grade-I Constable on 30.01.1995 ; got further promotion as Head Constable on 30.01.2000. The petitioner got his promotion as Special Sub Inspector of Police on 07.01.2010 and he retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.12.2011 and according to him, he has rendered a total service of 32 years and 7 months, honestly and sincerely without any blemish. The claim of the petitioner is that in terms of G.O.Ms.No.15, Home Department, dated 07.01.2010, he is entitled to get promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector for the reason that he as completed 25 years of total service on 15.05.2004 and in this regard, he has submitted a representation to the jurisdictional Joint Commissioner of Police on 24.04.2015 and since no orders have been passed, he came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the matter in issue is squarely covered by the common order dated 27.11.2013 made in WP. [MD] No.18967 & 18968/2013 and hence prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances, permits the petitioner to submit one more representation to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by enclosing a copy of the order made in this writ petition as well as his earlier representation dated 24.04.2015 submitted to the jurisdictional Joint Commissioner of Police and the respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a further period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
