ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA, J.) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representations including the one dated 09.07.2021

followed by a reminder dated 27.04.2022 by completing the community certificate verification proceedings mentioned therein within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, namely, M/s.Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is a Public Limited Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. While so, the enquiry relating to the genuineness of the community certificate produced by its employees are pending verification for long time with the respondent herein. Therefore, they are unable to decide the further course of action on their employees. Hence, the petitioner has given several representations including the representation dated 27.04.2022 to the respondent followed by the reminder dated 27.04.2022. Since there was no response for the same, the present Writ Petition came to be filed. 3.

Mr.V.Manoharan, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondent would submit that if eight weeks' time is granted, considering the urgency of the matter, the community certificate verification would be conducted and a report would be communicated to them as prayed for by the petitioner. 4.

Recording the same, we hereby direct the respondent to take up the community certificate verification process as prayed for by the petitioner in his representation dated 09.07.2021 followed by the reminder dated 27.04.2022 and complete the same and submit a report to that effect to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
