2. This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's Applications dated 4.12.2014 in R. No.62685/A3/2014 and R.No.62686/A3/2014 respectively for the grant of Contract Carriage Omni Bus Permit forthwith.

In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for in these writ petitions, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the applications of the petitioner dated 04.12.2014 in R. No.62685/A3/2014 and R.No.62686/A3/2014 for the grant of Contract Carriage Omni Bus Permit, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
