Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to immediately determine compensation payable to the petitioner in respect of the acquired lands measuring 80 square meters comprised in Survey No.296/1 & 100 square meters comprised in Survey No.296/2A with superstructures and trees thereon, both situated at Pandikavanoor Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District, in accordance with Right to Fair Compensation and transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013 or under any other equivalent or appropriate Act and pay the petitioner due compensation in tune with market value with solatium, interest, betterment charges, etc.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to determine the compensation payable to the petitioner in respect of the lands that were acquired under the Tamil Nadu Highways Act.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it has been brought to the notice of this Court that an Award has been passed and compensation was fixed and the said compensation was received by the petitioner under protest.

3. In the light of the above development, nothing survives in this Writ Petition. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the compensation fixed, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
