ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard.

2. This writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 3.10.2025 in a time-bound manner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Government of Tamil Nadu had issued G.O. (Ms) No.48, Environment, Climate Change and Forests (ER.6) Department, dated 6.3.2025, granting administrative and financial approval for creation of "Margatha Pooncholai" in 17 villages under the scheme "Green Tamil Nadu Mission". According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner's village also comes under the said scheme. While so, after issuance of the Government Order in the year 2025, no steps whatsoever has been taken to implement the same. In this regard, the petitioner has already submitted a representation to the

respondents, which is still pending.

4. On the other hand, learned State counsel submitted that the Government Order not only applies to the petitioner's village, but also applies to the villages throughout the State. He would submit the said scheme is under implementation and the same shall be done in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. Recording the submission made by learned State counsel that action is being initiated by the respondent State, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (SUSHRUT ARVIND DHARMADHIKARI, CJ) (G.ARUL MURUGAN,J) 30.04.2026 Index :
