ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.05.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 495, 406 & 420 of IPC in crime No.113 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is already a divorcee and she registered her bio data with the Bharath Matrimony. The petitioner who is also a divorcee already got registered with Bharath Matrimony. On seeing the bio data, the petitioner intended to marry the defacto complainant and both of them agreed for marriage and decided to live together for some period. The petitioner got confidence of the defacto complainant showing lot of love and affection. The defacto complainant was affected with covid and at that time, she handed over 45 sovereigns gold jewels, Rs.9,50,000/- cash, Hyundai Creta car, Iphone, Credit card. But after receiving the same, the petitioner went absconded.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there is a proposal for detaining the petitioner under Goondas Act. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. In view of the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
