ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.03.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 126(2), 140(2), 310, 311 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, in Crime No.15 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused abducted the defacto complainant, robbed gold jewels and cash and

threatened him and his family. Hence, the case was registered.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that there are about 10 accused in this case and the present petitioner is arrayed as A2. It is further submitted that the entire property has already been recovered and the petitioner has been falsely implicated based on confession statement and he is only a friend of A1. It is further submitted that he has been in incarceration since 10.03.2026. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the investigation is in preliminary stage and coaccused are still absconding. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. The very same contention has been reiterated by the learned counsel appearing for the intervenor and he strongly opposed the bail application.

6. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side.

7. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for both sides, the seriousness of the allegations, the stage of the investigation and the fact that the

co-accused are still absconding, this is not an appropriate stage to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 8.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 20-04-2026 1/2 NSL To
