PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the first respondent to take appropriate action against third respondent for conducting Kattapanchayat (KangarooCourt)by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 16.07.2020, in accordance with law.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to take action against the 3rd respondent on the ground that the 3rd respondent is pressurising the petitioner to go for a compromise with the counter party in a case which is purely civil in nature.

2.The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that an enquiry was conducted based on the complaint given by the counter party and it was found that it was a property dispute between the petitioner and the counter party. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the parties have been advised to approach the competent civil court to work out their remedy.

3 Crl.OP No. 15282 of 2020 3.In view of the specific stand taken by the respondents, it is made clear that the respondent police will not be interfere into the property dispute and it is left open to the parties to agitate their rights before the competent civil court. 4.This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
