Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit the annual temple function be carried as it has been performed every year.

Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for the respondents.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the annual temple function to be carried out in the temple, which is being performed every year.

3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the temple has now been taken over by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and a Thakkar has been appointed. He further submits that the annual temple festival will be conducted and the respondents have no objection for the petitioner participating in the annual temple festival. He also submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 16.04.2024 will be duly

considered by the first respondent.

4. Recording the above statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 09.05.2024 Index :
