ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to immediately pay the interim compensation amount and disburse to the petitioners land proposed to be acquired under Section 3(1) of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 Act XX of 1999 in S.F.No.8/2, Singanallur Village, Coimbatore District as per the G.O.Ms.No.509 Transport Department (1.2) dated 22.12.2017 passed by the 5th respondent.

2. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners are the joint owners of the land and their land was acquired by the Government for the expansion of runway for Coimbatore Airport and the present Writ Petition has been filed for payment of interim compensation. It is submitted by the learned counsel that the very same issue was dealt with by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and interim compensation has been paid and, therefore, nothing survives to be adjudicated in this Writ Petition.
