ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 19.04.2021 to pay the compensation amount for the petitioner's property measuring to an extent of 5 acres out of 4.57.5 Hectares (11 Acres and 31 cents), comprising in Punjai Old S.No.36/1, New S.No.36/1A, Vedal Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpet District in terms of the new Act under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

2. Heard, Mr.S.MohanaSurandara Rajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.04.2021, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and other parties, if any and after giving them an opportunity of hearing and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
