Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's patta transfer application dated 19.01.2021 vide application No. 2021/0105/05/114308 and consequently, to issue patta in Survey No.321 situated at Dharmapuri District, Pennagaram Taluk, Thonna Kutta Halli Village, to the petitioner herein within the period fixed by this Hon'ble Court. (The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 19.01.2021 seeking to issue patta in favour of the petitioner within a period stipulated by this court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, the petitioner has purchased the property in Survey No.321, situated at Thonna Kutta Halli Village, Pennagaram Taluk, Dharmapuri District on 25.05.2018 and he is in possession and enjoyment of the same. Thereafter, the petitioner has filed an application before the 2nd respondent Tahsildar seeking to issue patta in his favour on 19.01.2021, for which, he has paid necessary fees. But, so far, his application was not considered and no order has been passed on it. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent Tahsildar is directed to consider the petitioner's application and to pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
