PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to direct the learned Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, II Additional District Judge, Kanchipuram for speedy disposal of the petition in M.C.O.P.No.197 of 2018, within the stipulated time and allow this petition.

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, II Additional District Judge, Kanchipuram, for the speedy disposal of the petition in M.C.O.P.No.197 of 2018.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners' side evidence was over on 31.03.2020 and the case is still pending without any progress and it has been adjourned several times to record respondents' side evidence.

It is seen from the case diary that, despite the petitioners' side evidence was closed in the year 2020, due to Covid-19 pandemic situation and incidental lock down, the case cannot be progressed in timely 2/4

manner. The petitioners have filed this petition seeking compensation for the death of their son in the road traffic accident. 4.

Though there were some inconvenience for the Court to conduct cases in timely manner due to Covid-19, taking into consideration of the pathetic situation of the petitioners, I feel that the learned Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, II Additional District Judge, Kanchipuram, should be directed to dispose the case as expeditiously as possible. 5.

Hence, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of and the learned Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, II Additional District Judge, Kanchipuram, is directed to dispose of the petition in M.C.O.P.No.197 of 2018 preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
