The petitioner has come forward with this petition to direct the 1st respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 24.01.2015.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. A reading of the complaint dated 24.01.2015 reveals that the petitioner has made bare allegation that when he approached CBCID Police, in connection with the investigation of crime, he was threatened by Mohan and Valluvan. The petitioner, in the complaint, has not disclosed the date and other particulars for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

police to investigate the offence. Further, the petitioner has sent the complaint to the Commissioner of Police, vepery, Chennai through post. Under Section 154 Cr.P.C., compliant should be lodged to the Station House Officer.

4. Admittedly, in this case, the complaint does not disclose commission of cognizable offence, hence this petition is closed with a further liberty to the petitioner to inform the Investigating Officer of CBCID, who is investigating the case about the alleged threat given by Mohan and Valluvan so that the police shall give sufficient protection for giving evidence without fear.
