ORDER
Heard Mr.G.Thiyagarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.P.Shanmugha Sundaram, learned Standing Counsel who is accepting notice for the respondents.
2. With the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for disposal.
3. The prayer sought for by the writ petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to pursue PhD in Chalmers University, Sweden.
4. The petitioner herein who was working as an Assistant Professor in Anna University in the Department of Chemical Engineering and was arrayed as Accused No.7 by the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption by an FIR dated 31.07.2018 and meanwhile she has got admission into PhD in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Chalmers University, Sweden and necessary documents have been filed.
5. It appears that she has filed No Objection Certificate from the Anna University and the same was agreed subject to clearance of vigilance and Anti Corruption Department by the University. It is also seen from the records that by an order dated 30.04.2019 in Crl.O.P.No.10900 of 2019, this Court has granted permission by executing the necessary surety and bond before the Criminal Court and it appears that she has also complied the same. Now the respondent/Anna University has not passed orders on the representation given by the petitioner dated 02.05.2019. Taking into consideration the entirety of the matter and the materials placed before the second respondent/Registrar, the Anna University is directed to dispose of the representation in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
6. In the result, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
