ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner got married with her own uncle after the death of his first wife. Now, she is living with her husband viz., Yuvaraj happily. She is also looking after one year female child born to her husband and his first wife. She apprehends threat from her parents of her life as well as her husband since she got marriage without getting consent from her parents. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint to the 2nd respondent as against the father and uncle of the petitioner. The said complaint was also duly received by the second respondent, but even then, the second respondent did not enquire into the same.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has submitted that the complaint lodged by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner is pending for enquiry on the file of the second respondent.

4. Considering the above submission, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint received on 08.09.2020 after issuing notice to the petitioner's father and uncle and other relatives and pass orders on merits in accordance with law.
