ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the CC No.9400 of 2021 pending on the file of the Additional Court for Exclusive Trial of CCB Cases, Egmore, Chennai.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that by using the bogus credit card, the petitioner had purchased various items from different shops.

3. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the complaint is of the year 2009, charge sheet has been filed only in the year 2021. Hence, he prays for quashing the CC on the ground of inordinate delay.

4. Heard the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials available on records carefully.

5. Taking note of the fact that FIR has been registered in the year 2009, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.9400 of 2021 pending on its file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. The personal appearance of the petitioner is dispensed with before the trial Court, except for receipt of copies, answering the charges, questioning under section 313 Cr.P.C. and on the date of pronouncing judgment and on any other 2/4

dates as fixed by the trial Court.
