This Court, by order dated 02.08.2022 passed in Crl.OP.Nos.14220, 14222 & 14223 of 2021, directed the concerned police officials to issue notice to the private respondents on the complaint and after giving opportunity of hearing and pass orders on merits.

The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that earlier the petitioners filed petitions in Crl.OP.No.23775, 23786 & 24066 of 2019 and this Court by order dated 12.03.2020 disposed of the same by giving liberty to the petitioners to work out their remedy before the court below. Thereafter, again the petitioners filed petitions in Crl.OP.Nos.14220, 14222 & 14223 of 2021, wherein this Court, that too without ordering notice to the respondents 3 & 4, directed the second respondent therein to issue notice to the petitioners and the respondents 3 and 4 therein and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the 1/4

order after giving them opportunity of hearing. Now the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks clarification in the said order.

In view of the above, it is clarified that the second respondent in Crl.OP.Nos.14220, 14222 & 14223 of 2021 i.e. The Inspector of Police, Katpadi Police Station, Vellore District is directed not to interfere with the civil dispute, if any, between the defacto complainants/petitioners and the respondents 3 and 4 therein. It is made clear that if any cognizable offence is made out in the complaint lodged by the petitioners, it is open to the concerned police official to proceed further.
