This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ or order in the nature of Writ, directing the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 29.09.2016 regarding appointment of Cook Assistant within reasonable time as per Service Rules.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 29.09.2016 made by the petitioner regarding appointment of Cook Assistant within reasonable time as per Service Rules.

2. The case of the writ petitioner is that the Commissioner, Theller Panchayat Union, Tiruvannamalai District vide his letter dated 20.02.2016 had called for application for the post of Cook Assistant and the writ petitioner had applied for the above said post . The contention of the petitioner is that the 2nd respondent sent an interview card to him to attend the interview to be held on 16.02.2016 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner also attended the interview and submitted the copies of the certificates as required. According to the petitioner, though he possessed educational qualifications, as required, he was not appointed as Cook Assistant and the said post is still vacant. Hence, he made a representation to the first respondent to appoint him as Cook Assistant, Kezhputhur Panchayat Union High School and the same was received on 03.10.2016. However, there is no reply from the respondent. Hence this writ petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that till now, no order has been passed on the representation dated 29.09.2016 made by the writ petitioner and hence, he prayed to direct the respondents to pass an appropriate order.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleaded submitted that no final order has been passed on the representation of the petitioner dated 29.09.2016.

4. In the light of the above submissions made by both the counsels, without expressing any opinion on merits, this court directed the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.09.2016 and pass an appropriate order, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
