By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to disburse the outstanding amount of Rs.9,25,73,142/- along with interest of 18% per annum calculated till the date of realization. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was awarded the works relating to Redevelopment of Periyar Complex (ABD Area); Redevelopment of Bose Maidan Stage, Toilet and Complex (ABD Area); Redevelopment of Nehru Kalaiarangam for Salem City Municipal Corporation and the petitioner completed the entire works, however, a sum of Rs.9,25,73,142/- has not yet been disbursed to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner 2/4
made representations to the respondents and the last of such representation was made on 21.03.2026, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may, without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2026 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.
4.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2026, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petition is disposed of.
