Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners representation dated 23/02/2026 within a Stipulated time frame and consequenly direct the 1st Respondent to cancel patta No.2037 standing in the names of Respondents 3 to 10 and after such cancellation direct the 2nd Respondent to issue patta in favour of Petitioner for the property comprised in New Survey No.226/10 measuring an extent of 9 cents situated at Pujangarayanallur Vilalge, Alathur Taluk, Perambalur District, based on Sale Deed No.961 of 1988 dated 01/09/1988 on the file of the Sub - Registrar, Ariyalur Joint II and the Death Certificate of Manikandan. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026.

2. Mr.M.Guruprasad, learned Government's counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal in the stage of admission itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner filed a representation dated 23.02.2026 before the 1st respondent, requesting to cancel patta No.2037 standing in the names of Respondents 3 to 10 and after such cancellation direct the 2nd Respondent to issue patta in favour of Petitioner for the property comprised in New Survey No.226/10 measuring an extent of 9 cents situated at Pujangarayanallur Vilalge, Alathur Taluk, Perambalur District, based on Sale Deed No.961 of 1988 dated 01/09/1988 on the file of the Sub - Registrar, Ariyalur Joint II and the Death Certificate of Manikandan.. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the 1st respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

5. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of within a period of 8 weeks and hence, she requests this Court to pass appropriate orders.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

7. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.02.2026 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
