ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Principal District Sessions Judge at Kanchipuram District to consider the petitioners' bail application sympathetically and pass orders on merits on the same day as their surrender in connection with Cr.No.25 of 2026 pending before the respondents police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The defacto complainant belongs to Scheduled Caste community. The first petitioner and the defacto complainant were in love with each other and subsequently got married in a Temple on 26.12.2025 and lived a happy life. Subsequently, the first petitioner along with the other petitioners, who are her in-laws, allegedly assaulted the defacto complainant, drove her out of the matrimonial home, and also abused her by referring to her caste name.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the present case.

5. In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the Principal District Sessions Judge at Kanchipuram to consider the petitioners' bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Crime No.25 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned within a period of fifteen days from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order.
