Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, Government Advocate for R1 to R3 Order This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to take action for cancelling the patta issued in favour of the respondents 4 to 6 in the light of the communication forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent pursuant to the appeal representation dated 30.01.2026 which is pending on the file of the 2nd respondent.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's husband is the absolute owner of the subject property and has been in continuous possession and enjoyment for more than three generations. While

so, the respondents 4 to 6, who are neither in possession nor residents of the locality, have illegally obtained patta in respect of the said Natham Poromboke land, contrary to Government rules which mandate grant only to persons in actual possession. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 30.01.2026 and since no action has been taken, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2026 will be disposed of by the 2nd respondent within a period of twelve weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2026 on its own merits, after issuing notice to the respondents 4 to 6 and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
