This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to call for the records of the FIR in Cr. No.42 of 2010 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram, Kancheepuram District, the first respondent herein and quash the same.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in Crime No.42 of 2010 was completed and that the case was closed as "mistake of fact" as early as 28.02.2011 in R.C.S. No.3 of 2011. He also submitted a copy of the closure report to the Court.
