The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to conduct enquiry and register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 28.11.2015.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the petitioner is the vice chairman in the Kanchipuram Town Municipality. On 28.11.2015, one Saravanan contacted him in his cell number and informed that there is some drainage problem in their locality and requested the petitioner to clear the problem. Thereafter, the petitioner went to the Royankuttai Palla Street, at that time few persons namely, Jothi and his wife Kamala and Kasthuri entered into wordy quarrel and beaten the petitioner. Thereafter the petitioner was admitted in Kanchipuram Government Hospital and treated as in-patient. Hence the petitioner lodged a complaint on 28.11.2015 and the respondent police issued a C.S.R.No.839/2015, since no action was taken, the petitioner has filed this Criminal original Petition.

3.When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that counter petitioner has also lodged a complaint as against the petitioner and the same has been assigned with CSR No.840 /2015. 4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 5.Considering the submissions made on either side, since C.S.R. number has already been assigned, it is appropriate to direct the respondent to conduct an enquiry on C.S.R.No.839/2015 as well as CSR No.840/2015 and proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
