Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the 1st respondent's letter bearing No.16795/M.M.B.3/ 2005-1 dated 12.01.2006 pertaining to patta quarry lands measuring 2.78.5 Hectares, comprised in Survey Nos.382/5A, 5B, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7A, 7B, 8, 9A, 9B, 9C, 10 and 11 situated in Chentharapalli Village, Krishnagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District (formerly Dharmapuri District) quash the same and direct the 1st respondent to grant renewal by reconsidering the petitioner's renewal application dated 02.07.2004.

O R D E R

The petitioner vide application dated 02.07.2004 has applied for renewal of quarrying lease. The said application was rejected by the impugned order dated 12.01.2006 since the land mentioned in the application is a Government 'Poromboke' land. The impugned order states that there is no provision under law https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for renewal of quarrying lease in Government 'Poromboke' land. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner now requests that since the impugned order was passed in the year 2006, liberty may be given to the petitioner to file fresh application with appropriate proof.

3.In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed on the above terms. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
