Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to arrive the market value of the property registered as document No.603 of 2013 before the Sub Registrar, Gudalur and to pass any suitable orders to that effect thereby directing the Sub Registrar, Gudalur to release the petitioner document. ORDER

Heard Mr.J.Franklin, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed the present writ petition to finalise the proceedings initiated u/s.47-A of the Indian Stamp Act in respect of the Document No.603/2013 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Gudalur.

3.The petitioner was called upon to furnish certain documents, which according to the petitioner, has been furnished along with a letter dated 14.02.2014. In spite of the same, till date the market value of the property has not been arrived at and the proceedings u/s.47-A of the Act has not been finalised. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the 1st respondent to finalise the proceedings initiated u/.47-A of the Indian Stamp Act and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
