O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 28.08.2019 and to pass orders within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property originally belonged to his grand-father by virtue of a title deed dated 08.10.1910. The further case of the petitioner is that, even the revenue records stood in his name. 7 were entered in the revenue records with regard to the subject property. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner made a representation to the 1st respondent on 06.11.2019. This representation was forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent and the grievance of the petitioner is that the 2nd respondent has not considered the representation till date. Left with no other alternative, this writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the representation made by the petitioner has already been forwarded to the 2nd respondent and it is the 2nd respondent who is the competent authority to rectify the defects that took place at the time when the UDR Scheme was implemented, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 28.08.2019 and deal with the same strictly in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The 2nd respondent shall give sufficient opportunity to the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 7 at the time of enquiry and before passing the final order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 28.08.2019 and also all other relevant documents along with a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
