Order This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to pay the outstanding GST amount due and payable to the petitioner for the work done by the petitioner as a contractor.

2.According to the petitioner, he has received a show cause notice from the GST department calling upon the petitioner to pay the GST amount. According to him, he is not liable to pay the GST amount to the GST department. Therefore, he had made a representation to the respondents requesting them to pay the GST amount demanded by the GST department in respect of the work done by the petitioner on behalf of the respondents. Since the representation of the petitioner has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3.As seen from the documents filed along with this writ petition, the representation of the petitioner has been forwarded to the third respondent by the second respondent through his proceedings dated 20.02.2026. However, no final order has been passed by the third respondent till date on the petitioner's representation.

4.Ms.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 4. Mr.Ananda Kumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 5 and 6. 5.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

7.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation in the light of the second respondent's proceedings dated 20.02.2026, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
