No.506/1 part) patta Nos.871 and 872, Thirkiruppu, 109 Iruppu Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District within the time that may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to get the mistakes corrected in A Register and the village map regarding the extent and measurement in respect of the property which is in the holdings of the petitioner in new Survey Number 612/16 (Old S. No.506/1 part) Patta No.871, Thirkiruppu, 109 Iruppu Village, Virudhachalam

Taluk, cuddalore District.

2. The petitioner states that the above said property in new Survey Number 612/16 (Old S. No.506/1 part) Patta No.871, Thirkiruppu, 109 Iruppu Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, is in the enjoyment of the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that there are some discrepancies in the revenue records and hence the petitioner wanted correction to be carried out in 'A' Register and the village map regarding extent and measurement so that the entires will be corrected in accordance with the actual extent in which the petitioner is in possession.

3. It is stated that the request of the petitioner was considered by the Revenue officials and the concerned officials have recommended for such corrections. In these circumstances, the petitioner has approached this court.

Considering the grievance of the petitioner and the facts narrated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, this court is of the view that the respondents can be directed to consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law. Since the petitioner has not impleaded any of the third parties, this court assumes that there is no third party right involved in this writ petition. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, the second respondent, namely the District Revenue Officer, Cuddalore District, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. This exercise shall be undertaken by the second respondent, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
