ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent/Tahsildar to transfer patta in favour of the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, petitioner's family owned agricultural land to an extent of 7 Acres in various survey numbers, viz., patta no.1363 and Survey No.112/18, Patta No.2711, Survey No.114/3 and 114/6, Patta No.1344, Survey No.114/5 and patta no.1583, Survey Nos.112/17, 114/2, 114/4, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

114/1 in Mangalam Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District and patta in respect of the said lands stand in the name of her husband. After his demise, the petitioner made a representation before the first respondent to transfer patta in her favour. The first respondent in and by his proceedings dated 25.06.2021 directed the 2nd respondent/Tahsildar to consider the same. But, the same has not been considered, so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, and also the fact that now, the petitioner's representation is pending with the 2nd respondent/Tahsildar, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass suitable orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
