ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members pursuant to the representation dated 03.05.2023. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the entire materials available on record.

3.It is seen that it is a landlord and tenant dispute and the petitioner has already filed a suit in O.S.No.522 of 2008 before the District Munsif, Ambattur against the third respondent for permanent injunction and the same is pending. While so, on 20.04.2003, the third respondent trespassed into the house of petitioner and started putting up construction and when it was questioned by the petitioner, the third respondent abused him and attempted to attack him. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent for providing police protection to the petitioner and his family members. Since no action has been forthcoming 2/4

from the second respondent Police, the petitioner has gave a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 and the same was received by them. On the receipt of the same, the petitioner was issued with C.S.R Number from the second respondent and enquiry is pending.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and the third respondent and to conduct an enquiry and dispose the complaint within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
