Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2015 to take necessary steps to select the petitioner to the post of Conductor in the 2nd Respondent Corporation.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner was called for Conductor Skill Test and Interview on 06.02.2010 and selected and a memorandum dated 02.03.2010 was sent to the petitioner calling him for Skill Test and Interview on 09.03.2010 and he was selected and list was published in Notice Board and subsequently, the selection proceedings were dropped for the reasons best known to the respondents. The petitioner in this regard, has submitted representation dated 03.09.2015 to consider his claim and appoint him as Conductor and since no order has been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the selection proceedings were dropped for the reasons best known to the respondents and therefore, the petitioner and other https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

persons similarly placed are left in lurch and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Ravi Shankar Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.R.Syed Mustafa, learned Government Pleader (Pondy) who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.A.R.Nixon, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the second respondent.

5.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
