ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.1758 of 2011 on the file of the Inspector of Police, V-5 Thirumangalam Police Station to Central Crime Branch at Chennai.
2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against one Viswanathan and Vijayakumar on the allegation of cheating. As no action has been taken on the said complaint, the petitioner filed Crl.O.P.No.22739 of 2011 and pursuant to the orders of this Court, a case in Crime No.1758 of 2011 was registered for the offences under sections 420, 406, 465 and 506 (i) IPC against the said persons. Even thereafter, there is no progress in the investigation of the case. Hence not being satisfied with the investigation of the first respondent, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that as the amount involved is more than Rs.35 lakhs, the case may be transferred to Central Crime Branch, Chennai.
5. In view of the submissions made on either side, this court directs the Commissioner of Police, Chennai to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.1758 of 2011 to the Deputy Commissioner, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch is directed to nominate the Inspector of Police to investigate into the complaint of the petitioner and proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.
