This Criminal Original Petition is filed for directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2024 on the file of respondents 1 to 2 herein and give adequate Police protection to the petitioner and her family members.

2. The submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner are as follows: 2.1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the petitioner and one Balaji are loving each other, whereas, petitioner's father was not ready to agree with her decision. The petitioner's father had abused her in front of friends, relatives and also locked up her at home and decided to perform petitioner's marriage with someone else of the same status, without her consent. The petitioner was in the house arrest for about 3 months, during such time, she tried to convince her father, but he did not care about her. After a few days, she left her residence and went to Thirupathi with Balaji and his family, and their marriage was solemnized at 10.04.2024 at Tirupathi Temple. 2/5

2.2. He further submits that the petitioner's father came to her husband's residence and threatened him with dire consequences and also attacked her husband with the help of rowdy elements. Thereby, the petitioner has made a complaint to the 3rd respondent but they refused to receive the complaint because his father who is an advocate by profession. Due to his father's action, her husband's life is in danger and hence she filed the present Criminal Original Petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 06.05.2024 would be considered by the respondent police

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

5. Therefore, the respondent police is hereby directed to conduct the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.05.2024.
