O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Section 4(3) Tamil Nadu Gaming Act, 1939 and Section 420 of I.P.C. in Crime No. 2183 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that the petitioner was involved in cotton betting game. Hence, the complaint was registered.
3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner has involved in cotton betting game. He would submit that there are two previous case as against the petitioner. 5. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions of the learned Counsel and the petitioner has two previouscases for the similar offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
6. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
