[ RESPONDENT] Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to receive the application in Form CCPA dated 25.05.2016 with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the Vehicle Reg.No.TN-11-Y9589 forthwith.

Heard Mr.A.Ganesan , learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Mohammed Mushtak, learned Government Advocate accepting notice on behalf of the respondent and with the consent of learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to receive the application in Form CCPA dated 25.05.2016 with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the Vehicle Reg.No.TN-11-Y9589 forthwith.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a need for more Maxi Cab on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their Permits.

4.In any event, as the petitioner's Application has not been received by the respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioner, there will https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

be a direction to the respondent to receive the petitioner's Application, consider the same and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date on which the Application is presented, along with the copy of this order.
