ORDER

Heard Mr.Radhakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 28.01.2015 made by the petitioner and give permission to conduct a public meeting near G.M.Nagar, South Ukkadam, at Coimbatore on 08.02.2015 at about 6.00 p.m.

3.According to the petitioner, he is a member of a political party and the party members have decided to conduct a meeting for its 6th Anniversary. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 28.01.2015 to the respondent seeking permission for conducting the meeting. Since no order has been passed on the said representation till date, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's representation may be considered by the respondent and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that the respondent may impose any condition and the petitioner will be agreeable to the said conditions.

5.Since the petitioner has tentatively fixed the date of the meeting as 08.02.2015, due to paucity of time, the petitioner is permitted to postpone the date of meeting and give a fresh representation along with a copy of this order to the respondent. On receipt of such fresh representation from the petitioner, the respondent shall consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of such fresh representation.

6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
