This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.212 of 2024 on the file of respondent police.
2. The dispute between the petitioners and the 2nd respondent/defacto complainant has been settled. To this effect, the parties have also signed in a Joint Memorandum of Compromise dated 26.04.2024. The 2nd respondent/defacto complainant is present. The learned counsel for 2nd respondent/defacto complainant is also present and confirms that the 2nd respondent had received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition may be closed. 2/4
3. Heard the learned counsel for petitioners and learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for respondent and perused the materials available on record.
4. Recording the above submissions and in view of the Joint Memorandum of Compromise, the impugned F.I.R. in Crime No.212 of 2024 at the behest of 2nd respondent/defacto complainant stands quashed. The Joint Memorandum of Compromise signed between parties shall form part and parcel of this Order.
