Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to issue direction to the respondents for issuing a No Objection Certificate for the erection of a Borewell and construction of few toilets in the temple land for the convenience of the devotees, who visit the Shivan temple, located in Sokkanur Village (North side) in Survey No.18/1c1 of a Natham Poramboke, by taking into consideration that already electricity provision was made to the temple after issuing a No Objection Certificate by the Tahsildar, Pollachi, in Ref K.Dis.10537/2001 A-5, dated 20.06.2001 by considering the representation dated 23.12.2014.

Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the learned counsel for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner, who claims to be the Dharmakartha of a Shiva Temple, located in Sokkanur Village (North Side) in Survey No.18/1c1 of a Natham Poramboke land to the extent of 0.83 acres, Kinaththukkadavu Taluk, Coimbatore District, has made a representation dated 23.12.2014 to the respondents, seeking No Objection Certificate for resolving the water crisis by erecting a bore-well and on its non-consideration, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.
3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides.

Taking note of the consideration of the pendency of the representation said to have been made by the petitioner on 23.12.2014 and without going into merits of the case, a direction is hereby issued to the second respondent to pass appropriate orders on the pending representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to any third parties if so required. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
