O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the fifth respondent to register a case against the complaint dated 17.11.2015 sent through RPAD on 18.11.2015, investigate the case in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against one Jothikumar, Parthasarathy and Ernest Chelladurai stating that they coerced the petitioner and her brother to put signature in blank papers. Hence, she lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 20.11.2015. Since no action was taken so far, the present petition has been filed.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint was sent through post and the same was returned. If the petitioner gives a fresh complaint in person, necessary action will be taken.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the fifth respondent police along with a copy of this order. On receipt of the said complaint, the fifth respondent police is directed to conduct an enquiry and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible. In the course of enquiry, if no prima facie is made out or the matter is civil in nature, he is directed to pass appropriate orders on the complaint made by the petitioner.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
