PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 or their subordinates not to harass the petitioners under the guise of an enquiry by considering the petitioner's complaint dated 12.09.2020.

O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 or their subordinates not to harass the petitioners under the guise of an enquiry by considering the petitioner's complaint dated 12.09.2020.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioners are accused in Crime No.50 of 2018 on the file of the Sub-Inspector of Police, Vedakkipalayam, Coimbatore District, for the offence under Section 420, 468 and 471 IPC, on the complaint lodged by the 3rd respondent herein. Therefore, he prayed to dismiss the petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

4.It is seen from the records that the petitioners are accused in Crime No.50 of 2018. While being so, there is no question of harassment from the hands of the respondent police, since the petitioners have to be necessarily appear before the respondent police for investigation. Therefore, the petition is devoid of merits. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
