Vetrayan ..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider petitioner representation dated 12.03.2026 and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to conduct survey and demarcation of the land comprised in Survey Nos.517/ 1A(0-6.00), 517/1B6 (0-13.53) and 517/1D (0-17.50) situated at Booganahalli Village, Palakodu Taluk, Dharmapuri District, based on the petitioner's title derived under the settlement deed dated 28.07.2014 registered

as Document No.2886/2014 and further direct the 3rd respondent Police to provide adequate police protection during survey, demarcation and fencing in the event of obstruction by third parties.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 12.03.2026 to conduct a survey and demarcate the land comprised in Survey Nos.517/ 1A(0-6.00), 517/1B6 (0-13.53) and 517/1D (0-17.50) situated at Booganahalli Village, Palakodu Taluk, Dharmapuri District. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2026 and carry out a survey in the subject land and complete the process within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner as well as respondents 4 to 7 and other aggrieved parties, if any. It is open to the second respondent to request for police protection before the third respondent/jurisdictional police. If any such request is made, the third respondent/jurisdictional police is directed to provide an adequate police protection for conducting the survey.

6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
