Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2019 as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014 made for conducting enumeration process for issuing Streen Vending Indentity Card and for granting Certificate of Vending and till such time not to disturb with the running of the petitioner's bunk shop "Egmore Alsa Mall Sandwich Stall", near Door No.6, Bazullah Road, T.Nagar, Chennai 600017, wherein selling tea, coffee, snacks and food items therein.

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2019 as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014 made for conducting enumeration process for issuing Streen Vending Indentity Card and for

: Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners in both the Writ Petitions have filed the above Writ Petitions praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2019 as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014, made for conducting enumeration process for issuing Street Vending Identity Card and for granting Certificate of Vending and till such time, not to disturb them with the running of their bunk shops.

2. Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

3. Heard both sides and peruse the materials available on record.

4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the said representation of the petitioners in both Writ Petitions, before the second respondent, will be duly considered in accordance with law.

5.In the light of the aforesaid submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 08.05.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
