The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a charge sheet in Crime No.409 of 2010 before the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Vellore, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against one Vijaya and Sindhu on 10.12.2010. Based on the said complaint, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No. 409 of 2010 for the offences under sections 147, 341, 323, 324, 506(ii), 379, 427 IPC. But, for the past 6 years, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to expedite investigation in the case in Crime No.409 of 2010 and complete the same and file a final report within a period of 6 months.

The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
