ORDER

The petitioner challenges the notice of demand bearing Ref.GRS.No.C113/00832 dated 20.03.2009 issued by the respondent, the Commissioner, Corporation of Madras, Ripon Buildings, Chennai-600 003, revising the half-yearly tax from Rs.14,093/- to Rs.3,302/-, with effect from the first half year of 2004-2005 in respect of the premises Flat No.2A, 1st Floor, 'Shantiniketan', Old No.66/2, New No.70/2, Poes Garden, Chennai86. 2.

When the matter is called, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that as per the demand, the tax amount has already been paid by the petitioner. Therefore, nothing survives in the Writ Petition.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is closed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
